Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik has separated their ways. Many sources specifically confirmed supermodel, 26, and artist, 28, broke up.
"They are not together right now. They are both good parents," said a friend of Hadid's family. "They are working with a parent. Yolanda is really protecting Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and granddaughter."
"Gigi is only focused on the best of Khai. He is asking for privacy at this time," Gigi's representative told PEOPLE in a statement. Representatives of Yolanda and Malik did not respond to numerous requests for comment.
Earlier on Thursday, Malik issued a statement following a TMZ report that Gigi's mother Yolanda was considering filing a police report on Malik for beating her, according to unnamed sources. Malik told the newspaper he had "denied" Yolanda's false allegations that he had beaten her.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Malik said he wanted to create a "place where private family issues were not thrown into the world so that everyone could be divided and divided," adding that the incident "it was a private matter and should still be a private matter."
They share a baby Khai, a 13-month-old. In September, the couple threw her a birthday party - and several family members paid emotional tribute to her.
The couple started sparking romantic rumors in November 2015 when they went out together at a party after the American Music Awards.

Subsequently, reports in August 2019 suggested that Hadid was having an affair with Tyler Cameron of Bachelorette - and a source told PEOPLE at the time that "their days are real and you have a good time." Hadid and Cameron split up a few months later in October.
After their breakup, Hadid and Malik were spotted holding hands in New York City in January 2020. They confirmed the relationship was back on Valentine's Day.
